What is Paramedical Science & Its Aim & Scope

In modern world, Paramedical science has emerged as an important branch of medical science. It is proved as a milestone in the treatment of communicable, non-communicable diseases. In other words, we can say that paramedical science is a backbone for medical science because right diagnosis of any disease is necessary to prevent fatal diseases. Thus, medical Science can’t take even a single step without paramedical science. Radiological investigation, Pathological examination, Physiotherapy, Dental, Ophthalmic, Courses comes under the paramedical Stream. In today’s polluted environment many diseases, such as AIDS, Hepatitis, TB, Cancer, Jaundic etc., communicable & non-communicable disease are emerging, which has effected the health of lakhs of people at & international level. In India alone, there are 4.8 million who are affected bu AIDS and approximately 70 cr. rupees are being spent on the pathological test of such people & these tests are not available in remote areas, as only some universities are providing paramedical courses. These paramedical courses are pointing towards a revolutionary change. These courses have provided job opportunities in medical field in India & abroad.

Career Prospectus In The Field of Para Medical Science

Paramedical science is emerging as a multi-dimensional branch of service which is filled with great opportunities. As paramedical is only capable of removing & diagnosing different diseases, it has given way to career opportunities and played an important role in improving the health conditions of people. Almost in every PHC (Primary Health Centre). there are vacancies of pathology technicians, X-ray technicians, Pharmacists, Dental Technician. According to the static’s of health department for the year 2003-2004 it has been concluded that there are 23 thousand vacant posts for Health technicians in approximately 35 thoudans PHC’s and these vacancies can prove to be improtant for the unemployed technically youths.   • After passing the D. M. L. T. diploma course the trained person run self independent lab in any part of india 19 (I) G (Article) of Constitution of India give the write of Practice.
  • The trained Person may settle abroad
  • The trained person may appoint in Hospitals,. Nursing Homes but Govt. Job will depends up on the Policy of Government.

C. M. S. & E. D. Students

  • After having the diploma course may run Primary Medical Centre & you can do the practice with 70 Allopathic medicines to treat the minor ailment to prevent the infections disease & Provide Primary Medical Aid with modern system of Medicine.
  • After having the diploma course you are the arm of council & works as per the order of council to fulfill the aims & objects of the council and provide the primary medical aid in rural areas or financially handicapped pupils.
  • You should not use the other medicine other than you have the write to use during your practice.
  • Welfare of humanity is your main duty during your practice if any patient came in your Primary Medical aid & IF he is very poor or if he have no money or he or his family suffers with any infections disease than you should provide primary medical aid free to that family & send the details of patients or details of consumption of medicine to council, council provide you expenses of consumed medicine.
